Can you tell us more about “Transform U?”

Before I answer that, let me start with some very clear reasons why a lot of personal development programs don’t work for a lot of people. The most common reason is that the person teaching the message or program didn’t live it well, or even at all. What people have picked up on is the practice of selling an idea (or course) that ultimately leads them towards a promise but never actually fulfills it.

One of the most amazing parts of my journey is that I have tested thousands of techniques, principles, and strategies along the way, using my own life as the guinea pig. Over the last two decades, I have had the sincere pleasure of watching our students win: students ranging from CEOs, to entertainers, athletes, and other various hardworking people. The reality is that human behavior is predictable once you understand how behaviors are formed and executed. Once you have this knowledge it becomes possible to “decide” to change, mature, or amplify certain behavior patterns that are authentic to you.

Transform U is a customized framework with step-by-step guide tools, principles, and strategies to help anyone searching for a better life, find it. I have personally used it to transform my life from the inside out. I still use it to this day to keep my own life on track! I have chosen to package Transform U into two specific vehicles which allows anyone to test drive the program and its results in their own lives, starting with Transform U Live.

Transform U Live is an inspirational live event that focuses on thought leadership from around the world with some of the most amazing communicators on the planet! At Transform U, I introduce elements of the framework to the audience in such a way that allows them to test drive them in an environment that amplifies growth. By doing this, the audience can see real time growth. As a result, most of the audience enrolls into Transform U Online where the program is laid out step-by-step and backed by monthly, in some cases weekly, coaching sessions, and an endless video library to help students keep up the momentum. Our programs work for anyone’s budget as they range from free to low cost options, on upward to working with me, one-on-one.

To reiterate, I truly believe the power of Transform U is the fact that it’s been lived out and its results have been tested over and over. Anytime we see we can improve Transform U, we do so without asking the students to give us another dime. We are only after their success, nothing more and nothing less!

Can you share with us the most transformational story you saw in a client?

There have been so many amazing stories… I am not really sure if I have a favorite story to share! I will say that one of the largest transformations that I have seen is in the life of a client who we will call “Lacy” to protect her identity. Lacy was practically born into the entertainment industry. Unfortunately Lacy began to deal with various levels of abuse when she did not perform as her parents demanded of her. Instead of seeing her as the bright, beautiful, and energetic person she was–or rather became– her parents treated her as a meal ticket.

Lacy and I were introduced through a mutual friend. It was clear that she was searching for the 3 most powerful questions on the planet:

  1. Who am I?
  2. Why am I here?
  3. What do I do about it?

Since Lacy’s life was not based on choice, and instead the expectations of others. She had no answers to any of the three questions and as a result, she tried to find solace in a variety of bad relationships and bad choices. She ultimately just wanted to be loved, empowered, and set free. Even though she was able to wrangle control of her contracts away from her parents, she was still reliving the abuse she had faced for years.

Lacy’s shift came on the third day of the program. She discovered that serving those in need– in the cities where she performed– brought her the greatest joy. She began to see her performances as a means to serve those who were less fortunate. She began to only take projects that truly spoke to her which allowed her to express extreme grace. She raised the standards of what she would accept in her own life and as a result, began to receive life on her terms.  As more revelations surfaced, she even found it in her heart to forgive her parents. She worked hard to untangle the web of emotions that drew her into relationships with emotionally unavailable men.

Lacy is now married to a man who sees her as the bright and talented young lady she is. She set the tone of her worth and as such began to attract people and opportunities that supported her worth. She has begun sharing some of her story publicly from time to time, giving others hope in the midst of their own storms.

Again, human behaviors are predictable. We are always attracting the things in our life that mirror who we currently are. Know your worth, settle for nothing else, and live an amazing experience known as life! 🙂

What do you think are the top three things that are stopping people living a life of success and meaning?

Ironically, these may be too simple but in my experience, they are the gatekeepers of winning in life:

  1. Ignorance – Most of us make our way through life with our eyes half closed as if we are sleepwalking. We are oblivious to our strengths, struggles, and blindspots and unfortunately, knowing or not knowing these three items, either set us up for opportunities or problems. Ignorance leads us to ego, denial, and anxiety because rather than being the best version of ourselves, we become a really bad copy of someone else’s expectations. In order to correct this ignorance, we must go through the process of exploration and discover without judgement.
  2. Relationships Nothing has been a more defining trait in my life than understanding that the people in my life directly correlate to what I see as truth in my life. When I was surrounded by poverty, I thought like an impoverished person. When I was surrounded by people who had no self care, I had little-to-no self care. Who we are on the inside is often a mirror image of the people around us (especially family). You have to raise your relational awareness and spend 80% of your time with people whose lives are aligned with the same journey you are on, or desire to be on.
  3. Expectations The third, less visible trait, is that people who live amazing lives expect to live amazing lives and people who live below average lives also expect to do so as well. The trick here is to learn to dream again and to raise your expectations in those dreams. Keep those dreams in front of you at all times! Life will hit you hard and if your dreams are out-of-sight your expectations will gravitate back towards limiting beliefs. To keep this from occurring, consider a vision board or some other tool that expresses a visual representation of the life you want to live at all times.

What is your biggest goal for your business this year?

My biggest goal this year is to triple the lives I have touched from last year. I will let that be my barometer of whether or not I am on the right track. I am creating a legacy that outlives me and am always encouraging others to do the same!
