What is your area of expertise, who do you serve, and how do you serve them?

My primary area of expertise is in income taxes and business development. The people I serve is individual taxpayers and small business owners. I serve them by assisting them in developing their business, building their brands, and educating them on how to save money in income taxes.

Why would someone choose you over a competitor?

Xpert Tax Service should be your preferred choice because we pride ourselves on educating our clients on their current and future tax situation. We also assist our clients on how to operate their financials when it comes to business to prepare them for obtaining funding in their personal and business life.

Share a specific time you encountered an obstacle and describe how you overcame it.

One of my most recent obstacles was being short staffed during Covid-19. This was a very challenging obstacle because during tax season we have a high volume of clients who usually demand quick turnaround times in processing their income taxes.

I overcame the obstacle by having effective communication with my clients and managing my time properly to get the job done.

Share a short story about your best (or favorite) case study.

Recently, I had to assist a client in a business tax audit due to the IRS rejecting their business income. This was a year and a half process because all documents we were submitting to the IRS they would reject and leave the client with a balance due.

I prepared my client to attend tax court so that it would be a possibility that they would not end up owing the balance. This is one of my favorite studies because my client ended up not owing them anything, but it was due to the research of the tax laws that I had did.

In most cases taxpayers will assume that it is nothing they can do if the IRS says they owe money but when you know your rights and the law then you come on top with a victory every time.

What advice would you give the “20-Year-Old-You” who’s eager to start in life?

I would tell the 20-Year-Old me to always have faith on this journey. I would tell her that she can be anything that she wants to be but that she will have to make a lot of sacrifices, she will have to work hard and that she is going to have to be patient.

I would tell her that as she goes along her journey in life to take every moment in rather it is big or small. I would tell her that self-care is mandatory to be able to give the world the best of her. I would tell her that she cannot pour from an empty cup so she will always need to put herself first.

Please describe a monumental time in your life that you’ll never forget.

My most monumental moment is when I received an Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism from The Global of International Alliance School. As a child I face many obstacles when it came to education. I became successful in business without having any degrees but in the back of my mind that was something I always wanted to achieve.

To know that the works that I have done in the world over these 15 years lead me to this kind of achievement had me truly speechless and humbly grateful. It reminds me to always to remember that it is not about how you start but how you finish. You never know what steps God is leading you to when you are on your journey.
