What is your area of expertise, who do you serve, and how do you serve them?

As a Certified Life Coach, I help women build or rebuild their self-confidence and self-trust. I believe that true self-confidence is the foundation of living a happy and healthy life. Self-confidence to me means that no matter what happens in your journey through life, you have the ability to overcome. You have the ability to learn through struggle and use it for good in your life. You have the capability to do anything. That is true self-confidence.
I am also a soon-to-be published author. My debut novel, The Summer Everything Changed, will be out summer 2021.

Why would someone choose you over a competitor?

What is competition? I have come to strongly believe that there is no two people alike. We may have the same career, values, teachings and opinions, but we are uniquely ourselves. The right clients will gravitate to the right coach. Since I started coaching, I base my practice on that notion. Ultimately, I am here to serve and want everyone to have their needs met, with me or someone else.

Share a specific time you encountered an obstacle and describe how you overcame it.

I have had a few struggles in my life but most recently in my life path. I was a marketing executive for a large live entertainment company. In 2019, after a 20-year high profile career, we parted. It was over. I was done. I felt both free and lost at the same time. Free because I was finally able to reclaim my life, I was no longer a prisoner to a career that no longer aligned with me. Lost because I had no idea who I was without this career and where I would go from here.
That is when the belief I had in myself was brought to the forefront of my being.
I chose to rebuild that self-worth and confidence I had lost along the way. I slowly started a journey of discovery with that unwavering belief that I was going to be ok.. no I was going to be great.
I worked on my mindset and really forging that path to truth.
The thing about truth, it’s the only way to feel completely aligned.
Alignment for me was coaching. I have never, before now, felt so connected to my profession which is also my purpose.

Share a short story about your best (or favorite) case study.

I have had the honour of guiding some incredible humans to their truths.
One of my clients, a lovely woman in her thirties, came to me with such low regard for herself. The first couple of sessions we had together were filled with a lot of tears and despair. As we worked together on building and repairing her relationship with herself, she learned that feeling whole is not about anything exterior. Feeling whole is loving yourself. We discovered that the answers she was looking for about how to control emotions, how to trust her decisions, how to say no to things she didn’t want to do… we’re all along within herself.
We worked together for six months. She has the most incredibly kind spirit. She was kind to everyone but herself for a long time.. she forgot what that even meant.
She is living for herself first now, not letting outside factors determine her life.
She uses many of the techniques we learned in our sessions like emotional brain training, mental rehearsal, gratitude practice, breaking through fear, and more.
Why was she one of my favourites? Because the change I saw in her was so striking it made my heart grow. I wanted it for her so badly, I believed in her and she worked so hard to get to exactly where she deserves.
Her journey continues as it does for all of us.
Clients like these reaffirm that I am exactly where I am supposed to be.

What advice would you give the “20-Year-Old-You” who’s eager to start in life? *

Dear Sandra,
Chill.
Don’t take yourself so seriously.
Everything will work itself out, you just need to believe in yourself and live authentically. When you encounter individuals who don’t understand you or don’t see your worth, if you can, walk away. If you can’t, don’t waver. Keep being you because you are good enough. You are full of life. You have all the tools you need to succeed, you just have to have a little patience sometimes. Things will come when you are ready.
You are in store for quite a ride, take all the failures as lessons, and celebrate the wins with joy.
Be kind. Lead with curiosity and compassion.
Enjoy every moment and stick with your truth.
The future you
Xo

Please describe a monumental time in your life that you’ll never forget.

The day I finished my novel. I cried. I just could not believe I had written a 75,000-word romance novel. When I was seventeen years old, I promised myself that in this lifetime, I was going to write a romance novel. I didn’t know when but I knew it was going to happen. It was a deep belief, deep. It was clear as day.
The thing is the novel, it came to me easily. I’m not an English major.
Yes, I wrote poems as a child and yes, I love to write blog posts and captions but a novel.. that’s a whole other undertaking.
When I wrote END on the last page, I rolled my chair back in my office and sobbed. After a few minutes, I looked up at my computer screen and just whispered… I did it.
MONUMENTAL.
