Matching donation campaign aims to raise $15,000 for community fire preparedness
LOS ANGELES (Dec. 18, 2025) — SAFE SOSS, a leader in wildfire defense systems, has partnered with the California Fire Safe Council to match donations for their fundraising through December 31, 2025. The matching campaign aims to raise $15,000 to support communities across California in wildfire preparation and recovery efforts following the devastating Los Angeles fires in January 2025.
The California Fire Safe Council’s year-end fundraising initiative comes as thousands of families displaced by the fires continue working to reconstruct their homes. The matched donations will fund critical programs including home hardening education, community preparedness training, and support for new Fire Safe Councils launching across the state.
“Last January’s Los Angeles fires displaced thousands of families,” said Jacy Hyde, Executive Director of CFSC. “But amid the devastation, something powerful emerged: Communities coming together to prepare, protect, and rebuild stronger than before. Families hardening their homes. Neighbors helping each other. New Fire Safe Councils launching is to ensure this never happens again.”
The matching campaign supports the California Fire Safe Council’s mission to help neighbours live safely with fire. In the wake of the January fires, the nonprofit has worked with families on home hardening techniques, assisted in mutual support efforts, and helped establish new Fire Safe Councils to prevent future disasters.
All donations made are tax-deductible for 2025 and every gift up to $7,500 will be doubled through December 31st. Community members can contribute and make donations at the California Fire Safe Council’s website to support wildfire preparedness programs statewide.
